Course objectives
The lecture focus on detailed study of the history of philosophical views on history and society in the period from Antiquity till Utopism of XIX. century. Students will also get acquainted with basic primary literature and basic notions such as "state", "society", "nation", "ideology" etc. Main objective of the course is to know thoroughly the philosophy of history and society in the selected period and to learn how to connect the emergence of these perspectives with the historical and social situation of the period.

Teaching methods
Lectures. Students will take several progress tests in the e-learning course. They will work out a presentation based on literature selected from the list available in the e-leraning course. The tests will be multiple choice tests.
Assessment methods
Oral exam. Before passing the oral exam, it is necessary to prepare a presentation, pass enough progress tests in the e-learning course, and to pass the final test in the e-learning course.
