Prerequisites
SOUHLAS
The subject is focused od everyday abilities important for copig with stress. Neccessary is active presence on most of lessons, which will be taught in two weeks periodicity.
The subject is most usefull for the students of medicine, psychology, pedagogy, social work, economy or law, but open is for all of the university students.
Every lecture is divided in two parts: lecture & seminar.

Course objectives
Seminar is focused on intruduction of practical methods for coping of every day stress. The specific content of the seminar will be specified at the beginning of the semester in according to the needs of students. At the end of the course participants will be able to apply the principles of mental hygiene in their lives (incl. special techniques of relaxation, concentration or physical regeneration/training).
Syllabus
  • Lectures are focused on these topics: Stress. Basic rules and principals of coping. Stress management. The brain and body in stress situations (neurophysiology of the stress). Case studies from psychotherapy/practice. Techniques, which would be presented, are as these ones: Autogenic training, Jacobson progressive myorelaxation, 5S technique, Principals of body-therapy, Principals of massages and automassages. Principles and basal steps of regenerative soma-exercises. The course is taught annually.

Teaching methods
Every lecture is divided in two parts: lecture & seminar.

Teaching methods: lectures, focus group discussions - (sharing of the experiences with coping strategies), relax, physical excersises, homework.
Assessment methods
Type of the finalization will be specified by teacher at the begining of the semester. The most important is individual activity of participants during the semestr. Participating is obligate in minimal on 80% of seminars.
