This course is primarily intended for MA level students. BA level students are encouraged to sign up in case they are working (or intend to work) on a thesis in linguistics, with a focus on modern online communication - those students will be given a priority (please write an application/exception to the teacher), other students will be admitted in case the capacity of the course permits additional students. - Course objectives
- The class is run as an intensive course, to be held from 2 October to 6 October. Each day, there will be two morning blocks 9.10-10.40, 10.50-12.20. The course is taught by a visiting scholar, professor Camilla Vasques (University of Florida, Tampa). Final assessment is carried out by Jan Chovanec (exam in the form of a written paper - due in January). Please note that you are expected to have 80 per cent attendance in this course, so please make arrangements in your other classes to be able to attend this intensive course. Thank you.
