Cíle předmětu
After the course, students will gain the basic four language abilities in Chinese: Speaking & Listening Language Skill: Students will be able to identify and comprehend conversation situations and reproduce conversation schemes in basic conversation situations given by the textbook. They will also be able to apply the conversation schemes and acquired vocabulary to other interactive conversation situations. Reading & Writing Language Skill: Students will be able to read and write basic conversation texts given in the textbook. They will also be able to apply acquired grammar, vocabulary and increase necessary reading and writing comprehension.
Výstupy z učení
Communication: Exchange basic greetings Request a person’s last name and full name and provide your own; Determine whether someone is a teacher or a student; Ascertain someone’s nationality. Employ basic kinship terms; Describe a family photo; Ask about someone’s profession; Say some common professions. Tell and speak about time and dates; Talk about one’s age and birthday; Invite someone to dinner; Arrange a dinner date. Culture: Students will have gained a deeper knowledge and understanding of the cultures of the Chinese-speaking world. Connection: Students will be able to acquire new information and reinforce their knowledge of other disciplines through the Chinese language. Comparison: Students will have developed new insights into the nature of language and culture that will allow them to establish comparisons not only between languages, but also between the Chinese cultures and their own.

Výukové metody
The course is taught by a native speaker who combines various methods of teaching - class discussion, conversations, cultural presentations, etc. And the course is based on the textbook: Integrated Chinese. The materials put emphasis on authentic materials(written by native Chinese speakers for native Chinese speakers), most of the pedagogical materials are actually simulated authentic materials and are incorporated in the lessons when appropriate.
