Hlavními cíli předmětu dějiny psychologie je naučit studenty uvažovat v dějinných souvislostech aktuálního psychologického poznání. Umožnit jim získat představu o tom, jak psychologické teorie vznikaly a jaké byly jejich vazby na ostatní vědy v kontextu tehdejší vědy. Dějiny psychologie se zaměřují na významné osobnosti podstatné pro rozvoj psychologie a také na nejdůležitější psychologické školy a jejich metodologický základ získávání poznatků.
Learning outcomes
Main outputs of the History of Psychology course can be summarized as follows: to get a perspective on the development of psychological thinking; to learn the history of the most important systems in psychology; to gain insight into the resources, theories and methodological approaches of the most important psychological systems; to understand the continuity between historical and contemporary developments of psychology.

Exam: essay (home written, on a topic of student's own choice) + multiple-choice test.
