• The project is implemented in a team of 5-7 students, of which minimally a half must be from the parent field of study.
• The project team provides the project after dramaturgical, organizational, promotional and administrative points (technical services are ensured by the cinema theatre). - Learning outcomes
- At the end of this course, students will be able to:
• create a program for a cinema theatre
• negotiate with filmmakers and distributors
• promote the program in media
• introduce films by short lectures, moderate discussions
• understand the economic aspects of movie theatre business. - Syllabus
- The course has three main phases, which correspond to these basic steps:
- 1. Preparation of the project , i.e. prepare a written project and build a team.
- 2. Implementation of the project , i.e. the implementation of screening series.
- 3. Evaluation/self-evaluatuion of the project, namely elaboration of a written final team reports on project implementation and defense of the project.
- The condition of admission to the course is to win the competition for the best project team, which should include:
- • The name of the project ( program cycle).
- • Specific programming plan, including so-called added values to performances. The added value is an inventive extension of the screening of a variety of means - a classic example introduction and discussion with guests, etc.
- • Project team on the number of 3-7 students : name, position, organization connectedness (at least half of the team must be composed of students from the parent domain).
- • Sources from which they obtained films.
- • Economic plan: balance sheet of the financial performance of planned actions (production costs , guests , the cost of projection rights, film transport, etc. ).
- • promotion plans.
- Preference will be projects that will extend the planned projection of the added values.
- Commercial aspect is not the first place, but it is expected that the project will have an audience.

- Teaching methods
- Dramaturgy, organizational, promotional and operational experience in the cinema, preparation and implementation of the project team, teamwork, selection process and the final evaluation of the project.
- Assessment methods
- Selection and evaluation of projects will be decided by a committee composed of teachers and representatives of the Scala cinema.
• The commission decided at the beginning which of projects will be selected to implementation, and at the end evaluates its success.
• Selection round usually takes place only on the basis of written projects, but the Commission may invite the implementation team for negotiations.
• Final round evaluation takes the form of presentation of the project by the Project Team and debate with the commission.
• The measure of success will be to the value of cultural programming and method of administration (with regard to the so called values added) and spectator attendance and audience acclaim.
• The project is evaluated as a team, all team members therefore receive the same rating. - Language of instruction
