- Digital competences are essential for life in contemporary society. They are a prerequisite for study, civic activism, access to work or culture, for secure communication through the Internet, etc. The course tries to describe these competencies (according to the European Reference Framework) and offer them both a theoretical and a mostly practical perspective. The course aims to develop the ability of every individual with digital competences to practically handle, but also to think about them critically.
The aim of the course is to show the broader context of digital competences. We start from DigComp, which defines five areas of competence within which each citizen should develop. It tries to show how individual competences influence and change the information society and what impact their development or absence can have. At the same time, they also seek to deepen them in practice. - Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to:
- Define and critically reflect digital competences
- Work alone, even in a team with a European Reference Framework
- Understand the relationship of the information society and digital competences
- Engage in the development of digital competencies in specific teams
- Use appropriate tools for each competence area
- Safely use online communication tools to reflect data leaks and misuse issues
- Set your personal balance between work and study, between technology and nature.
He / she will be able to understand basic concepts of copyright.

- The course is fully online.
- Assessment methods
- Students will elaborate assigned tasks, give feedback to their classmates, and at the end, they will work out a final assignment and pass a simple test (in which they have three attempts). There will also be two mandatory self-evaluation questionnaires at the beginning and end of the course, which will not be part of the final evaluation.
