- Course objectives
- The course is an introduction to the use and application of electronic corpora. Students will be acquainted with some of the existing large online corpora and the basic methodology of corpus investigation. At the end of the course, the students will be able to apply the newly acquired knowledge to improving their language skills and conduct basic linguistic research relevant for their further studies.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will finish the course with a comprehensive understanding of the use of corpora in different areas of academic research. Students will also gain experience in writing a linguistic research paper using a corpus driven methodology.
