The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of the course focuses on offering a broader view of art, i.e. not to see it only in terms of style.
Learning outcomes
Students get acquainted with other approaches to works of art.
Syllabus
  • Themes as opposities and relations: 1. Realism and abstraction. 2. Rationality and emotion. Objective and subjective approaches to art. 3. Inovation and return to tradition. 4. High and Low. Avantgarde and popular/mass culture. 5. Technique, technology and nature. 6. Word and image. 7. Space and time. 8. Propaganda and art as a protest.
