Course objectives
The course in the curriculum builds on the educational content of the compulsory subject Information Education. The aim of the course is to enable students to test the dynamics of work in the group and with the group, familiarize themselves with the conditions of preparation of educational, cultural and PR programs for different target groups and practically try the processes. The specific application programs are conceived based on the collaboration of students of the LIS study program and other study programs. The aim of the cooperation is to use the knowledge and experience of both fields in the preparation of activities for selected target groups of users (children, adults, people with specific needs such as seniors, mothers, linguistic minorities and others).
Learning outcomes
After completing the course student:
- understands the dynamics of the group and is able to work in the group;
- understands the principles of education in libraries to promote education and lifelong learning;
- has the ability to analyze the needs of library and users in preparing the program for different target groups;
- understand the principles of active learning;
- can plan and pilot the program for a particular target group
- has the ability to reflect and self-reflect in the context of the course
Syllabus
  • Syllabus of Teaching:
  • Personality development;
  • Recognition of group members, selection of collaborating pairs;
  • Definition and selection of topic, topic analysis;
  • Monitoring of information sources on the subject;
  • Selection of the target group, different viewpoints of the topic and target group;
  • Setting the program's target with regard to all its actors;
  • Acquaintance with active learning methods;
  • Separate group preparation of the program;
  • Continuous consultation with teacher;
  • Implementation of the program;
  • Program evaluation;
  • Written processing and reflection of work

Teaching methods
The area of ​​teaching is the experimental workplace The Library at the Crossroads. The lectures will be held 4 times per semester.
The form of lectures includes lectures, seminars and activation activities of students in groups and in pairs. Finally, the interdisciplinary pair of students prepares the program and implements the program at least once in a specific institution with a selected target group.
Assessment methods
Participation in teaching according to established rules;
Separate group training of programs;
Observance of set deadlines;
Implementation of two programs;
Final evaluation. Students of combined forms of study have the same requirements and termination of the course.
