Course objectives
The course is taught in Modern Greek. The main aims of the course are: developing basic communicative abilities in Modern Greek, practice of topics dealt with in Modern Greek Grammar I (lessons 1-8 of the Basics of Modern Greek, CEFR A1).
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able:
to communicate in Modern Greek simply but actively (to introduse himself, family); to read and understand simple Modern Greek texts which deal with the discussed topics; to produce a short text concerning discussed topics.
Syllabus
  • Conversation topics: first conversation, study of Greek, life in the city, family and home, shopping, colours, human body, clothing, seasons of the year, telling the time.
  • Orthography practice.
  • Vocabulary tests.
