- Teaching methods
- Lecture. Teaching has the form of teacher’s explanations accompanied by presentations. Another part of the course is the e-learning support system, structured according to the topics dealt with during the lecture: The e-learning support system contains recordings of lectures, presentations and exercises. Students are required to fill in exercises continuously during the term.
- Assessment methods
- During the term, students continuously fill in exercises in the e-learning support system. The results are continuously checked. It is necessary to fill in the exercises by the end of the credit week, with the minimum of 90% of successful answers. This is a necessary requirement for participation in the exam. At the exam, students have to prove their ability of complex understanding the development of standard language in its various aspects, i. e. to prove they are aware of continuity and mutual relationships of its characteristic features. The exam consists of a written part and an oral part. To proceed to the oral part of the exam, a student has to successfully complete the written part first. For each course, there are 3 tests in the e-learning module, at various points within the semester. If a student obtains 66% in each of the tests, he/she doesn't need to take the written part of the exam (i.e., the written part of the exam is waived).
