- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is the introduction to the history of the historiography, from the age of enlightenment to the postmodern era - in political, social and cultural contexts. The course also focuses on the basic process of historiographical concepts and terms and topics illustrating Czech and European development. Students will be able to understand basic trends of the history of historiography. They will be able to interpret new concepts and issues related to the topics.
- Learning outcomes
- Students should know the development of historiography from the enlightenment to postmodern period,
critical interpretation of historiographic texts,
the knowledge of the principal authors and works,
the knowledge of the contemporary methodical and conceptual problems. - Syllabus
