- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to understand the general problems of phonetics and phonology and to learn the basic terminology of this field. Students will be able to explain the process of speech development, familiarize themselves with the phonological inventory of the studied languages and will be able to characterize the languages of these languages according to their characteristics and teach basic telephone transcription.

- understanding of basic principles of phonetics and phonology, characteristics of voice inventory, ability to use basic phonetic transcription
