Course objectives
For the completion of the course Special lecture I-IV, the doctoral student chooses a lecture or a seminar, in agreement with his/her supervisor, from the catalogue of courses of the Faculty of Arts MU in order to deepen his/her knowledge in disciplines related to Ancient History or Early Middle Ages; he/she can also choose from the list of specialized courses for PhD students of Masaryk University generally.
It is especially recommended to choose one of the courses led by foreign scholars that are being currently taught at the Department of Classical Studies, or, eventually, the course LJ453 Expert lectures.
Learning outcomes
The student completes his/her knowledge in the area of historical or related sciences, or, eventually, in the methodology of Humanities.
Syllabus
  • Syllabus of the course is individual, in accordance with the subject matter of the chosen course.
  • In agreement with the Doctoral Board, part-time students are allowed to complete the course by publishing a paper or actively participating in a conference (domestic or foreign).
