- Course objectives
- This course is intended for beginners. Students will learn basic grammar of Croatian language, as well as basics of its phonetics and morphology. By the end of this course, students should be able to use simple sentences in this language.
- Learning outcomes
- Absolvent will be able to communicate in Croatian at a level correspondent to 24 hours of language course.

- 1. Article: "Familiarization", Pronoun, Verb "biti" (positive clause), Noun - gender, Nominative
- 2. Article: "Impersonation", Pronoun "Tko?" "Što?", Verb "biti" (negative clause), Nominative, Genitive, Preposition (+ Genitive)
- 3. Article: "In the classroom", Genitive, Possessive Pronoun
- 4. Article: Dialogue, Accusative, Locative, Verb "imati" (positive form, questions)
- 5. Article: "On the Street", Present tense (-am, -aš, -a, -amo, -ate, -aju), Questions
- 6. Article: "In a Flat", Dative, Locative, Verb "imati" (negative clause), Possesive Pronoun "njihov"
- 7. Article: "Before leaving"; Thyself "svoj", Present tense (-em, -eš, -e, -emo, -ete, -u), Negative cause
- 8. Article: "Before going to School", Instrumental, Present tense (-im, -iš, -i, -imo, -ite, -e)

- Teaching methods
- This course makes use of several various didactic methods and teaching is based on active involvement of students and their cooperation with teacher. Lessons consist of teacher´s explanations, students´ own work (individual as well as a group one), practising grammar, conversation and listening exercises, games etc. There are also authentic Croatian materials used in the course, by means of which students gain knowledge of Croatian area studies.
- Assessment methods
- Active participation in seminars (maximum of 3 absences), fulfilling all tasks in e-learning course. Upon fulfilling all these requirements, student can pass the final test.
