- Course objectives
- The seminar, which is aimed at student teachers, is designed to develop and expand competences for science-led decisions in practice. The aim of the seminar is to create a space that enables students to reflect on concrete possibilities for professional action using selected questions as examples and to examine and further develop them scientifically. The seminar follows the higher education didactic principle of research-based learning. Students can choose from a selection of academic topics or up-to-date discourses in the didactics of German as a foreign language, which they explore more intensively in group work over the course of the seminar. The aim is to explore interesting subject areas, formulate practice-relevant questions and develop approaches to dealing with them, alternating between analysing the academic literature and reflecting on the experience gained in practice. - Learning outcomes
- In the various phases of work in the seminar, students learn to - to gain an overview of a current topic or discourse field of didactics as well as an insight into various related approaches and topics and to provide a report on these as part of individual and group work - identify practical aspects and problems relating to the subject area - define and reflect on terms - research further literature - formulate relevant questions - develop either a research project or a practical concept and prepare an exposé for it and can thereby develop and expand the skills of a ‘reflective practitioner’ in the alternating, interrelated reflection of practice and theory.
