Course objectives (in Czech)
Course description: This course is designed to improve every aspect of your everyday English and to help you learn real language skills for real life situations. The courses are based on the communicative method and are aimed to develop all four skills: listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing; expand your vocabulary and practise grammar.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Textbook: English file Intermediate 4e, SB A (U1-6) All materials are included in the course fee. Course content - topics and functions: Food and cooking, families and relationships, manners, transport, money, skills and abilities phrasal verbs, collocations, idioms Grammar content: present tenses past tenses modal verbs present perfect tenses
Assessment methods (in Czech)
Credits will be awarded based on attendance - you must meet 75% attendance to be eligible. The course is a year-long course, 32 hours in total. The autumn term part comprises 17 weeks of teaching, taught during the exam period too. You may miss 8 lessons in total, 5 in the autumn part. In the event of long term illness, please contact the course organiser.
