  • Potentiometric measurement of weak-acid constant;
  • Viscosities of solutions of polymers;
  • Ion selective electrode;
  • Measurement of reaction and solution heat of weak and hard acids;
  • Thermodynamics of Galvanic cell;
  • Measurement of heat of fusion of liquid;
  • Ethanol-water phase diagram assessment;
  • Refraction and permittivity of liquids;
  • Evaluation of extraction and dimerization constants of monochloracetate and acetic acids in benzene-water system;
  • Dissociation constant determination of acid-base indicator;

Studenti samostatně plní laboratorní úlohy dle rozpisu stanoveného vyučujícím. K udělení zápočtu je požadováno úspěšné absolvování plného počtu laboratorních cvičení a průběžné odevzdávání protokolů. Protokoly jsou odevzdávány průběžně a průběžně opravovány. Přijaté protokoly bez chyb jsou po zapsání zápočtu vráceny studentům.

Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to: Understand and explain a survey of the methods basic to the experimental study of physical chemistry, with a focus on the areas of equilibrium, calorimetry and kinetics.
Syllabus

  • Cryoscopy determination of molar weight and dimerisation constant of benzoic acid;
  • Potentiometry measurement of weak-acid constant;
  • Viscosities of solutions of polymers;
  • Ion selective electrode;
  • Measurement of reaction and solution heat of weak and hard acids;
  • Thermodynamics of Galvanic cell;
  • Measurement of heat of fusion of liquid;
  • Ethanol- water phase diagram assessment;
  • Refraction and permittivity of liquids;
  • Evaluation of extraction and dimerisation constants of monochloracetate and acetic acids in benzene – water system;
  • Dissociation constant determination of acid-base indicator;
  • Concentration dependence of molar conductivity of weak and hard electrolytes;
  • Sacharose decomposition in acid solution;
  • Determination of ion transport number;
  • Photometric study of reaction kinetics;
  • Activity coefficient determination of HCl;
  • Absorption isotherm determination in water- carbon powder – methylene blue system;
  • Temperature dependency of oxygen concentration in water;
  • Diffusion coefficient evaluation of ammonia in membrane;
  • Ethylacetate decomposition;
