- Molecule as system of electric charge. Dielectrics in electric field. Dipole moment and structure of molecule, measurements and calculations. Dielectric properties of liquids, crystals and colloid systems. Intermolecular interactions. Dielectric loss, time relaxation, kinetic theory of dielectric relaxation. Optical effects due to interaction of molecules with electromagnetic radiation. Adsorption of molecules at interface, influence of electric field. Complexes with proton or ion transfer. Charge transfer complexes.
