  • The principles and terminology of the regional geology. The main types of the Earths crust, Lithospheric plates, Cyclicity in the development of the Earth. Evolution and division of the oceanic crust: morphological units and geology of the sea bottom. Introduction to the geology of the present oceans and seas: the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian and Arctic oceans, Carribean sea, Mediterranean sea, the Gulf of Mexico and Red sea. The regional geology of the continental crust: the types of the continental crust and the geological units of the continental crust (shield, orogenic belts and basin types of the continental crust). Introduction to regional geology or the Gondwanian continents: Africa, Antarctis. Australia, India and South America. Introduction to the regional geology of the Laurasian continents: Nord America. Gronland, Middle America and Caribean regions. Precambrian of the Laurasia. Phanerozoic orogens of the Laurasia: The caledonian and hercynian orogenic belts. Bohemian Massif Old Alpine and young alpine orogens of the Laurasia. West Carpathians. Geological structure of the Earths interiar The hypotheses of the further development of the Earth.
