Syllabus
  • Basic notions: propositions, sentencial connectives, quantifiers, basic concept of set theory, set of numbers. -- Algebra: matrices, operation with matrices, rank of a matrix. Determinants. Reciprocal matrix, generalized inverse of matrix. Systems of linear equations, Gaussian elimination. Polynomials, roots of polynomials. Fractional funktion. -- Combinatorics and probability: permutations, combinations, variations, inclusion-exclusion formula. Random events, classical probability, conditional probability, Bayes' formula. -- Differential calculus of functions of one variable: basic notions, a function composed and inverse,elementary functions, cyclometric functions. Limit and continuity of functions, derivative of functions, behaviour of functions. -- Integral calculus of functions of one variable: indefinite integral, integration by parts, method of substitution. Definite integral, geometrical applications. -- Calculus of interpolation: polynomial interpolation, Lagrange's and Newton's interpolation formulas. Cubical splines. Least squares approximation.
