- Cíle předmětu
- General aims: a) To develop and realise an intensive course to teach students basics of environmental geology b) To enhance students' employment prospects and employment mobility through acquired competence in environment monitoring, remediation, and protection c) To help disseminating the acquired knowledge, utilising open and distance learning possibilities d) To support Europe-wide co-operation in environment-oriented Earth science teaching through evolution of an short course utilisable in other multidisciplinary higher education programmes existing in EU countries e) To facilitate student mobility between institutions of higher education in Europe
- Osnova
- By the end of the action period, the following targets will be met: a) Review of current education practices in Earth science field related to the environmental geology amongst the project participants. b) Development of an intensive course programme, applicable in environmental education schemes of all participating institutions c) Production of a textbook and field trip guide to the excursion associated with the intensive course in printed and electronic form (CD-ROM, Web documents) d) Realisation of the intensive course in the Czech Republic e) Evaluation of the programme by the participants f) Production of a report describing and discussing in detail all activities of the project and their outcomes, and deriving appropriate recommendations. g) Dissemination of knowledge about the project through the Internet. Establishment of a Web page devoted to the project, involving also other materials concerning environmental geology and on-line ODL tools (ask-a-specialist, on-line tests, FAQ etc.) By making the results available on the Internet, new impulses are expected to arrive from outside the project consortium.
- Metody hodnocení
- The work on the project will be: a) Collaborative: all partners will offer input and gain experiences, and their activities will be complementary. b) Student-focused: the aim of the work is that students be made more effective as active participants of the intensive course c) Based on active and constructive models of student learning, in which learning is an active and dynamic process stimulated and facilitated by teachers, resources, and learning environments. d) Oriented on practical experience: most of the processes and phenomena explained will be demonstrated in nature e) Practical-skills oriented: students will actively learn and practice various sampling and monitoring methods This methodology underpins the work-plan shown below.
