Course objectives

Phylogeny of vascular plants. Diversity of taxa with special remarks to the Flora of Central Europe.

Syllabus

Phylogeny of vascular plants. Rhyniophyta. Lycopodiophyta, Equisetophyta, Polypodiophyta, Cycadophyta, Pinophyta, Gnetophyta (recent families, genera and species). Magnoliophyta - Magnoliidae, Liliidae. A survey of families in the Flora of the Central Europe. Important families, genera and species in ecosystems and economy.
