The course will be concentrated on mapping of landforms, description of soil profiles and determination of plant and animal communities in the selected segments of visited landscapes.
Syllabus
  • Following skills from the subject of geoecological investigation and mapping will be excercised in the field: 1. Mapping of meso- and microforms, delimitation of elementary units of relief (elementary geoforms) from maps and their verification in the field. 2. Description of lithological setting in elementary geoforms. 3. Description of soil profile in soil excavation. 4. Determination of plant component of an ecosystem. 5. Determination of animal component of an ecosystem. 6. Synthesis, delineation of elementary geoecological spatial units.
