- High-school level of general knowledge. Attention of courses E1020, E2020 and E3020 or similar might be helpful. General interest in the science is an advantage.

- Course objectives
- The aim of this course is to learn how to present on a given topic without too much afraid and to see own mistakes and mistakes of others and take a lesson from them.
- Learning outcomes
- After successful course completion students will be able to:
- present a chosen topic
- make a presentation in PowerPoint or equivalent software
- prepare a poster - Syllabus
- Main aim of this course is to build up presentation skills and ability to present on a chosen topic without feeling uncomfortable. The other aim is to learn how to pick up relevant informations from others' presentations and how to assess them in a peer-review process. This course is practical.
- 1. Introduction: How to present successfully? How to prepare a presentation? Common mistakes.
- 2.-3. Presentation tools. MS Office PowerPoint, Prezi, pdf.
- 4.-10. Independent presentations of students. Discussion, feed-back, peer-review.
- 11.-12. Poster „miniconference“.

- Teaching methods
- Introductory lecture, independent homework (preparation of presentation and poster), presentation (for both oral and poster talks), discussion and peer-review
- Assessment methods
- Final credit is assigned only for active parcitipation in the course and attending at least 75% of seminars. Presentation on a chosen topic and preparation of a poster are a prerequisition for credit assignement.
