- A good knowledge of the basic physics course, a basic knowledge of quantum mechanics on the basic-course level. Elementary knowledge of calculus and linear algebra. Parallel visiting of course F6121 Introduction to solid state physics in the same year.

- The seminary provides tutorials on several topics extending topics of Introduction to solid state physics.

- Student will be able to:
- better understand the structural properties of solids;
- better understand the electronic structure of solids;
- better understand the semiconductors;
