Course objectives
The lecture encompasses important organic chemistry topics taught at the university level (structure a spatial arrangement of organic molecules, a basic understanding of structure-reactivity relations, mechanisms of selected organic reactions, the relevance of organic chemistry to biochemical processes).
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to work with formulas representing the constitution and space arrangement of organic molecules. The student will be able to distinguish functional groups in organic compounds and will be capable of writing reaction mechanisms and products of their transformations.
