- The aim of this course is to introduce students to the general and special topics of tafonomy and methods of tafonomical research.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the courese, student will be familiar with tafonomy and methods of tafonomical research.

- Tafonomy: division, subject of research; Biostratinomy - general characteristics; Biostratinomy of soft parts; Biostratinomy of solid parts; The formation of basic types of tanatocenoses; Practical applications of biostratinomy; Diagenesis - general characteristics; Preservation of fossil cores; Preservation of footprints; Deformation of fossils; Material migration, recrystallization; Concretization; Practical application of knowledge about diagenesis; Literature on Tafonomy Issues

- Students must pass written tests during the semester, submit given tasks, and present a paper from the foreign literature on the subject of tafonomy. Presence is also considered for the final evaluation.
