- Course objectives
- The course is intended for advanced students of animal physiology and immunology as well as for students oif molecular biology, biochemistry, ecotoxicology and other field of study with experimental orientation. It functions as superstructure clarifying experimental approaches (Ideological and methodological) leading to explaining and deeper understanding of selected physiological and immunological processes and their regulation. The course is focused to special questions associated especially with mechanisms of signal transduction within inter- and intracellular communication regulating cytokinetics, i. e.cell proliferation, differentiation and death of specific cell types ( stem, hemopoietic, immune, intestinal). Attention is paid to mechanisms of the effects of oxidative metabolism products and neural and cellular processes of animal sensory transduction.
Main objectives are (in succession to other courses of animal physiology and immunology) extending and detail clarifying of cell processes and functions with stress on understanding of experimental approaches and logical relations explaioning the way of gaining experimental results including working hypotheses.
