Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to explore selected general issues of social and economic development; to provide wider context enabling better understanding of actual human geography themes; to interlink contemporary human geography research with other disciplines of social science.

Assessment methods
Teaching methods - lectures, class discussion, group projects, homeworks, reading. Colloquium (oral) tests ability to take an attitude to actual issues of human geography.
