At the end of this course the students should be able to: define and explain general and systemic physiology; understand and explain physiological principles; describe the types of intercellular communication; explain the basics of electrical information transmission; discuss physiology of the heart; describe the physiology of blood circulation.
Syllabus
  • Body composition and functional organization
  • Intercellular contacts and signalization. Electronical transmission of information.
  • Physiology of the heart. Transfer system. Electrophysiology of the heart muscle.
  • Electrocardiography. Mechanics of the cardiac activity.
  • Cardiac cycle. Coronary circulation.
  • Microcirculation. Blood pressure regulation. Blood flow regulation. Regional circulation.
