Course objectives
Course is devoted to the students who are interested in basin modelling. Main aim of the course is to provide background about mathematical principles of model construction, data preparation, their interpretation and usability.
Syllabus
  • 1. Mathematical modelling in geology - static and dynamic systems, compaction, sedimentation 2. Wireline/logs – comonly used types, facies and depositional environment analyses 3. Seismic lines – survey and processing, seismic lithology and sesmic stratigraphy 4. Data export from Petrel to Petromod 5. Petromod – 1D, project construction
