Course objectives
At the end of the course students will understand the basic types of discharges, will be able to explain their fundamental physical characteristics, experimental arrangement and practical application in industry.

  • Geiger-Müller tube.
  • Dark discharge.
  • Glow discharge.
  • Arc discharge.
  • Corona discharge.

  • Gliding arc.
  • Creeping discharge.
  • Atmospheric discharge.
  • Radiofrequency discharge.
