Prerequisites
The knowledge of French - B1 level CEFR - French for specific purposes. Tuition is synchronous, taking place online, regularly, every week, according to the valid timetable for the semester using the MS Teams or ZOOM application. Students must have basic equipment – a computer or a tablet, internet connection, a camera and a microphone. For more detailed information, see the Interactive Course Syllabus (Study Materials). Students will receive an email with instructions and an appropriate links before the start of the course.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
After completing this course the student will be able to:

understand authentic specialized texts/lectures
identify the main ideas
formulate the main ideas
interpret the information
present topics using basic presentation techniques
summarize a more complex text
compare and contrast
use arguments in a discussion on a specialized topic (defend one´s opinion, opose, support arguments of a colleague)
create a CV, write a letter of application,
present oneself in a mock interview

  • Syllabus: 1.biological, geographical, geological, chemical, mathematical and physical topis according to current importance and interest (necessary vocab)
  • 2.general topics (necessary vocab)
Teaching methods
