Degree programme objectives
This study programme represents a unique combination of interdisciplinary Master’s degree level economics with key subjects in the field of Master’s degree level international relations. Within the context of economic policy, the study focuses on applied economic policy based on standard economic theory (a weakened quantitative analytical dimension in favour of the historical and political context). In the context of international relations issues, the study focuses on international political economy, accompanied by the theory and history of international relations (a weakened security and strategic dimension in favour of the economic dimension of international relations). Attention is paid to economic history and the history of international relations; economic theory and international relations theory; economic geography and geopolitics; and economic politics and international political economy. This branch of study is ideal for graduates of the Bachelor’s degree study programme combination Economic Policy and International Relations, but it is available to all Bachelor’s degree study programme graduates in the fields of economic and political sciences. Space in the study is dedicated to the adaptation of students from economic fields to political science and vice versa.
