LLL programme specification

Czech language courses for foreigners are intended for international learners interested in the Czech language who want (or need) to improve their language skills for personal, academic, or professional purposes. The Department of Czech for Foreigners at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University, offers courses ranging from complete beginners (A0) to highly advanced language users (C2).

The programs aim to develop language skills, introduce students to Czech culture, and facilitate the integration of foreigners into the Czech environment.

Course enrollment is based on the results of an entrance/placement test, which determines the student's current level of Czech language proficiency. The entrance test takes place on the first day of the semester.

In addition to mandatory courses related to Czech language, students may enroll in additional subjects offered by the Department of Czech Language or the Department of Czech Literature at the Faculty of Arts, Masaryk University. However, this option is rare.

The courses are taught by experienced internal and external staff members.
