Course objectives
Public Policy (DSVP) The content of this subject will serve as a basis for further theoretical and practical oriented courses dealing with the topic of non-profit organisations. The principal issues explained are particularly the possible forms of relations between the market, state and third sector subjects, emphasis being put on an alternative definition of the individual-society relationship. Exploration of these problems draws on the works of notable Czech and foreign authors. The basic problem concepts of this course include such concepts as civic society, human capital and human potential, altruism and philanthropy, non-profitability. Theory of non-profit non-governmental organisations and their role in the modern state is broadly discussed, as well as the history of development of their status. Examination: oral.
