Course objectives
Psychology of Trade (PHPVOC) The course continues the subjects from Stage One Psychology for Economists, Rhetoric and Social Protocol and Development of Social and Managerial Skills. The course aims to convey knowledge of psychological prerequisites of a successful business negotiation, its tactics and strategy, personal selling psychology, principles of effective communication in business management, etiquette of social contacts and personal image of a man and woman in business environment. Students will also acquire knowledge of culturally conditioned differences in business contacts. Attention is also paid to demands that business activity lays on personal characteristics of an individual which are relevant for business success. Active teaching methods will enable students to know themselves better and provide stimuli for their own development. Credit requirements: active participation in seminars, submission of a seminar essay.
