Course objectives
Students should gain the knowledge of the contruction of the large information systems. The difference between "programming in large" and "programming in small" is explained. The lecture concentrates on the two represenative analytic methods - Yourdon Modern structured analysis and UML usage to analyse and design OO systems. Student would practically use CASE tools and they analyse a system in a small team.
Syllabus
  • Programming in large. Empirical laws.
  • Project life cycle.
  • Requirements analysis and specification. Common criteria, modeling tools.
  • Functional models, data flow diagrams, minispecification.
  • Data models. Data dictionary, entity relationship diagrams.
  • Time-dependent behaviour models. state transition diagrams and control data flow diagrams.
  • E.Yourdon - Modern structured analysis. Development of the balanced essencial model.
  • Structured design (principles, criteria).
  • Object oriented analysis and design. Principles, structures and relations. OO models.
  • Models and methods using UML. Patterns (Coad Object Models, GoF).
  • Project schedule and workload estimates. COCOMO, FPA MkII.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Pro získání zápočtu je nutné realizovat projekt ve skupině 4 studentů. Kolokvium i zkouška jsou hodnoceny na základě písemky, otázky pro kolokvium jsou podmnožinou otázek ke zkoušce.
