Course objectives
The main objectives of the course are the following: acquainting students with the terminology of the sports pedagogy; making students aware of human conception of the modern sports pedagogy; analyzing the sports education in the modern world.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: understand and explain the modern trends of the sport education; interpret the result of the empirical researches of sport education; interpret the sports educational program of the various institutions; make high-quality program of the sports education.
Syllabus
  • 1. Definitions and features of sport education. National and global documents on sport and sport education.
  • 2. Elements of the sport-educational process (goals, participants, conditions, resources).
  • 3. A brief overview of the development and development of sport pedagogy.
  • 4. Pedagogy of sport in the science system. Concept and content of sport education in the Czech Republic and abroad (eg Slovakia, Germany, USA).
  • 5. Empirical, normative and critical concepts of sport pedagogy and their importance for sport professionals.
  • 6. Basic areas of sport education in terms of educational institutions, age, performance levels, integration and inclusion.
  • 7. Objectives, content and importance of school sport. Sport and development of community schools.
  • 8. Educational aspects of recreational sport.
  • 9. Pedagogical problems of competitive sport.
  • 10. Sports educator (coach, trainer, leisure time teacher, PE teacher, ...). Coach education. Project AEHESIS.
  • 11. Pedagogical competences of sports educators.
  • 12. Pedagogical diagnostics and self-diagnostics in sport education.
  • 13. Possibilities of sports in the field of social, environmental, multicultural etc. education. Sport and Development.
  • 14. Application of pedagogical principles in sport education.
  • 15. Sport education and the European Union (EYES 2004, European Week of Sport, etc.).
