- Course objectives
- Main aim of the subject Diagnostics and locomotor system in ontogenesis is to aknwowledge students with evolution of motor patterns in ontogenesis, with its formative effect on human locomotor system and relation to psychomotor development. The subject serves as an introduction to diagnostics of quality of motor patterns, to definition of ideal motor pattern and to recommendation of advisable physical exertion leading to physiological adaptation and prevention of maladaptation.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will achieve basic knowledge of ontogenesis of human motorics, ideal motor patterns and related diagnostics. The will know basic characteristics of recommended physical exertion that is aimed at physiological adaptation and prevention of maladaptation in particular age stages.
- Syllabus
- Diagnostics of locomotor system - spontaneous motorics, reflex motorics, postural tests.
- Prenatal motor evolution and newborn age i n psychomotor development - basic characteristics.
- 1-16 month stage of psychomotor development - reflex a spontaneous motorics incl muscle synergies and respiration.
- Toddler, pre-school and school age stage of psychomotor development - specification of advisable physical exertion and mechanisms of adaptation/maladaptation incl. sex specific approaches.
- Adolescence, adult age and senescence - specification of advisable physical exertion and mechanisms of adaptation/maladaptation
