Course objectives
The practice-oriented course's main objective is to learn the fundamental concepts of hardstyle kettlebell training and program development incorporating kettlebells (dynamic and ballistic exercises) to development of strength, power and muscular endurance, as well as the basics of safety when handling the tool.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
  • build a simple training program using the kettlebell as an exercise tool, as well as modify an individual training program according to the ability of the trainee
  • demonstrate basic kettlebell exercises
  • identify and correct errors in basic kettlebell exercises
  • know and fulfill safety during exercise activity and coaching

  • explanation and demonstration in practically oriented seminars
  • literature self-study and independent practice outside the class
  • Assessment methods
    The exam consists of two mandatory parts:
  • practical demonstration and briefing on the 5 exercises drawn. The technique of each exercise is evaluated by peers and teacher according to the given standards on a scale from 0 (unsatisfactory) to 5 (fully satisfactory). Thus, a total of 25 points can be obtained.
  • online test, 10 questions, maximum score of 10 points
    Students may receive extra points (max. 5) for activity in seminars.
    The final grade is determined by the following key:
  • A = 30 points or more
  • B = 28-29 points
  • C = 26-27 points
  • D = 24-25 points
  • E = 22-23 points
  • F = 21 points or less OR more than half of non-participation in seminars
