For the purpose of preparation and teaching of physical education, one of the key prerequisites for fulfilling the requirements of the course is an excellent knowledge of the specialized terminology of physical exercises. - Course Enrolment Limitations

- Course objectives
- The main objective of the course is to comprehensively and systematically develop the prerequisites and create professional competencies of students of teaching for the work of a teacher. This objective is fulfilled through supervision, consultation and actual teaching under the guidance of a supervising teacher. In addition to the actual practical experience of teaching, sharing, mentoring and reflection are key elements of pedagogical practice. The sub-objectives of the course include introducing students to a real school environment at primary and lower secondary school and then orienting them to the main areas of a teacher's work, such as pedagogical activities, school legislation, reflection on teaching, teacher's rights and obligations, etc. Other sub-objectives are to anchor the theoretical knowledge and practical skills from theoretical and practical teaching and to start their own professional development.
- Learning outcomes
- After completion of the course, students will:
- characterize the organization of the primary and lower secondary school and the teaching process within the classroom
- characterize the basic pedagogical activities of the teacher in the preparation, teaching and evaluation of teaching
- describe the basic rights and obligations of the teacher as a teacher and as an employee
- plan, prepare, teaching and evaluate a physical education lesson or a selected part of a lesson
- apply their theoretical pedagogical knowledge and skills in their own teaching
- analyse the teaching process from the teacher's perspective
- work in accordance with school legislation and relevant pedagogical documentation
- reflect on their own pedagogical work and the development of their professional competencies - Syllabus
- 1. Organisation of the primary and lower secondary school and the teaching process, rights and obligations of the teacher.
- 2. Teacher's pedagogical activities in phases of the teaching process.
- 3. Supervision and reflection of lessons by the supervising teacher or another student.
- 4. Tandem (pair) teaching with the supervising teacher or the other student.
- 5. Teaching of a selected part of a lesson.
- 6. Teaching of an whole lesson.
- 7. In collaboration with the supervising teacher and the faculty teacher, reflection on own teaching with regard to the competence framework of the graduate teacher.
- 8. Preparation of documents for the needs of the subject of teaching practice.
