- Cílem předmětu je seynámit studenta s informacemi z oblasti legislativy potravin, bezpečnosti potravin a specifických složkách potravin a jejich účinků na zdraví člověka. Dále se studenti seznámí s přístupy prevence nemocí pomocí výživy, a také dietními režimy doporučenými pro danou chorobu.
