Course objectives
AcroYoga is a combination of the couple acrobatics, Thai massage and stretching in pairs. Mixed pairs exercise together mostly ( man-woman, woman-woman, mam-man). They exercise either on the floor or while standing. The whole body is stretched, especially the lower extremities and the core is strenghtened during lectures. The awareness of the body and its conscious controll develops thanks to reversed poses and a wide range of movement. AcroYoga supports the communication among people, deepens the development of nonviolent communication and the creation of a useful feedback.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, students will be able: Students will master basic poses of AcroYoga, such as the base or flyer. They will further know basic movement principles and how to give the support to the others (spotting for their partners). The awareness of the body and its conscious control as well as the understanding of reverse poses will improve. The basics of Thai massage and therapeutic flying will be introduced.
Syllabus
  • Introduction of basic roles in acroyoga (base, flyer, spotter) and of its terminology. Methodology of spotting (safeguarding). Practice of poses in pairs. Poses in three. Standing poses. Therapeutic flying and the basics of Thai massage. Human pyramids.

- exercise, credit - the credit is given to students for the attendance - 3classes can be misses and there is no need of any apology - the substitution of more absence sis not allowed
