Course objectives (in Czech)
Kurz předpokládá znalosti z kurzu Metodologie sociálních věd. Cílem kurzu je poskytnout znalosti a praktické dovednosti při přípravě a realizaci kvantitativního výběrového šetření s použitím dotazníku (Survey). Obsah kurzu je zaměřen zejména na formulace otázek a konstrukci výzkumného dotazníku; včetně metod jeho distribuce a práce tazatelů v terénu. Průběžný test a závěrečná písemná zkouška kontrolují vědomosti získané studiem předepsané literatury (literatura je rozepsána na jednotlivé týdny semestru; texty jsou pak obsaženy v 'čítance', kterou lze zakoupit na FSS, či nalézt ve studovně). V průběhu kurzu studenti budují (ve 3 až 5-členných skupinkách) vlastní projekt výběrového šetření a výzkumný dotazník v rozsahu cca 50 otázek; jeho finální verzi pak odevzdávají v závěru kursu.

  • Introduction: organization and methods of the course * Nature of survey and its application in sociology * From the theory to the questions in a questionnaire: how to operacionalize a concept * Procedure and possibilities formulation of questions and types of questions * Selected problems in wording questions: measuring factual questions * Measurement of subjective attitudes * Design of questionnaire * Data coding * Administration of the questionnaire * How to organize work in terrain and how to improve response rate
