Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to understand theoretical background of TC as a treatment method, it§s effects and healing potential. Students will be able to formulate their own opinions on substance abuse issues, and discuss it on expert and laymen level too. After attending practical sessions, students will directly experience TC, its effects and functioning.
Syllabus
  • The seminar has 4 parts: Part 1 - introduction, target groups, rules in TC; Part 2 - power in TC, democratic/hierarchic model, training of responsibility; Part 3 - parts of TC program, main activities in TC; Part 4 - special themes (work with family, dual diagnosis, community culture..)
