- Course objectives
- The course is focused on embracing of basic journalistic skills in context of theory of environmental media. Students will gain general knowledge of media landscape's environmental segment. They will become familiar with the basic journalistic genres. Students will also learn how to present their environmental research in popular form and they will elaborate their own media outupts, which will be provided with individual feedback.
- Learning outcomes
- Course participants will be able to:
- orient themselves in a segment of "green media"
- analyze media messages on environmental topic from theoretical perspective
- distinguish between scientific and popular texts
- distinguish between basic journalistic genres
- find and utilize relevant sources of information
- choose an environmentally-relevant topic to write about
