- Course objectives
- The course observes the quantitative and qualitative extent of the European integration. Students are confronted with the exclusive and shared EU policies, their development, political influences and procedures within the EU.
- Learning outcomes
- Distinguish the distribution of competencies between the EU and its member states.
Analyse the policy-making process in the EU and related activities.
Describe financial aspects of EU policies.
Discuss controversial issues related to the effective functioning of the EU.
Formulate arguments and counterarguments on a given topic. - Syllabus

- Presentations, lectures, regular reading, class discussion, videomaterials.
- Assessment methods
- The subject is finished with an exam. It's necessary to submit a team presentation, a subsequent discussion paper and pass the midterm and final test. Student may obtain a maximum of 80 points: 30 for a team work (presentation + discussion paper), 10 for the mid-term and 40 for the final test. The minimal limit for passing the course are 52 points.
